Your Community Help Fund

At Yorkshire Choice Homes, we believe that building strong communities goes hand in hand with building quality homes.

The YCH (Your Community Help) Fund is our way of supporting local groups and grassroots projects that are at the heart of many communities. From school initiatives and wellbeing workshops to environmental projects and local sports teams — we’re here to back the brilliant groups that make a difference.

Grants of £100 to £500 are available to support small-scale projects that have a big impact.

We’re particularly keen to support initiatives that:

  • Promote education and learning
  • Encourage wellbeing and positive mental health
  • Enhance local green spaces or the environment
  • Support participation in grassroots sport and physical activity

Applications are reviewed twice a year by our Community Champions, a team of Yorkshire Choice Homes employees, who live and work in the communities we support.

While we’d love to fund every idea, please note that applications are competitive and funding is limited. Be sure to read the terms and conditions before applying.

Yorkshire Choice Homes – Your Community Help Fund Terms & Conditions

  1. Each eligible UK-based organisation may submit one application per calendar year.
  2. All information provided in the application must be accurate, up to date and complete. False or misleading submissions will be disqualified.
  3. Applications must be submitted by the organisation directly. Unfortunately, individuals or members of the public cannot apply on behalf of a group.
  4. We’re unable to support individuals, profit-making businesses, political causes, or religious activities (unless for wider community benefit).
  5. Successful applicants must hold a UK bank account in the organisation’s name. Account details will only be collected for the purpose of transferring awarded funds.
  6. Applications can be submitted at any time, but are reviewed twice yearly – in October and April. All applicants will be notified of decisions within one month of each closing date.
  7. Applications must be submitted using the official online form and completed in full. Incomplete or late submissions cannot be accepted.
  8. Funding decisions will be based on the group’s aims, impact on the local community, and how the grant will be used to make a difference.
  9. Awards are one-off grants of up to £500. Funds must be used within six months for the specific purpose outlined in your application and cannot be passed on to third parties.
  10. By applying, you agree to provide updates on how the funds were used. Yorkshire Choice Homes may share your story and imagery via its website, social media, or press. Your contact details will only be used in relation to your application.
