Managing Director

Quality Award Winner for
Excellence in On-Site Management

Jason, father to a son and a daughter, started his career as an apprentice electrician. At the age of 19, he project managed the self-build of his home address. Realising his passion in the construction industry, in 2015, he founded family business Yorkshire Choice Homes Ltd.

As MD, Jason overseas all aspects of the business with a focus on Strategic Planning and Growth.

Jason’s interest includes supporting charities for Autism, his son being on the spectrum, clay pigeon shooting, foreign travel and the occasional game of Poker.

General Manager

Michaela, proud mother of two sons and a daughter, initially started her career in finance and payroll, before enjoying a successful career within the Police Service. On retirement, she joined her sons in the development of the family business, Yorkshire Choice Homes Ltd, and continues to provide support in their current ventures.

As General Manager, Michaela’s role covers many aspects of the business, with a focus on Design, Sales and Customer Experience.

Hobbies include foreign travel, fine dining and family time with her children and grandchildren.

Construction Director

Dale is the eldest of three children, with a daughter himself and very much the family man.

His career started as a domestic plumber. With his enthusiasm in newbuild construction, he quickly became fully conversed with all aspects of building a home, ultimately progressing to his role as Construction Director of the family business.

Dale oversees all construction works, ensuring developments are constructed within time schedules and to the highest of standards.

He has an HGV1 Licence and a passion for driving including motorbikes, cars and plant machinery. His hobbies include clay shooting, fine dining, foreign travel and occasionally likes to test his luck in the casino!

Technical Manager

Luke, father of two daughters aged 5 and 8, finds himself immersed in the delightful whirlwind of a household full of girls. He is constantly engaged in day trips, family holidays, watching classic Disney films, and spirited adventures with Barbie dolls!

Luke's professional journey began as a trainee Architectural Technician and progressed through project management and design management, culminating in a degree in Architectural Technology.

In his role as Technical Manager, Luke plays a pivotal role in the development side of the business, placing a strong emphasis on the technical aspects throughout the project's lifecycle. From the initial design appraisal stage, through the complexities of securing planning permissions, and into the live construction phase, Luke's expertise ensures the successful realization of projects.

Outside the professional arena, Luke is deeply committed to giving back to the community, participating in charity cycle rides for Yorkshire Cancer Research, and playing 5-a-side football. An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys walking his two small dogs.

Luke brings knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm to our team, making him an invaluable asset to our company.

Commercial Manager

Alex is a dedicated father to his 11-year-old daughter, but more so he's her biggest supporter in her passion for dance, attending her classes and cheering her on at competitions.

Professionally, Alex embarked on his journey nearly two decades ago fresh out of university as a trainee Estimator in the construction industry. Over the years, he has honed his skills and expertise while working with several renowned companies, steadily climbing the corporate ladder to eventually assume the role of Preconstruction Manager.

In September 2023, Alex joined our team, where his talent and dedication quickly earned him the position of Commercial Manager within just six months. In his current role, he leads the commercial function across all stages of the construction process. His responsibilities span from conducting land appraisals and detailed cost plans to managing contracts and procurement, while overseeing budgets through to project completion.

Outside of work, Alex finds joy in various hobbies. A former amateur rugby player, he now supports the Doncaster Knights rugby club and participates in charity biking events like the coast-to-coast ride and the Wetherby to Filey sportive. With an eclectic taste in music, he enjoys exploring diverse genres while sharing laughter and good times with his beloved family and friends.

Alex is not only a respected leader and the ultimate family man but also a passionate fundraiser for charitable causes.

Design & Build Co-Ordinator

Meet Josh, a seasoned Design & Build Coordinator deeply immersed in the world of construction project management. Armed with a BSc (Hons) in Construction Project Management from Sheffield Hallam University, Josh embarked on his career as a year-out placement student. Excelling in his role as a Trainee D&B Coordinator, he climbed the professional ladder over six years to his current post. Today, he orchestrates projects from conception to completion, navigating through planning, construction, and handover phases with expertise. Josh's responsibilities include meticulously managing detailed designs, addressing technical queries, and ensuring seamless project coordination.

Beyond the confines of project blueprints and timelines, Josh shines as the captain of his local hockey team, where he has been a player since the age of Six. Outside Hockey, he enjoys the challenges of golf and ardently supports Leeds United, relishing every moment of their matches. Josh's diverse interests not only underscore his professional acumen but also reflect his commitment to leading a balanced and fulfilling life.

Senior Land Manager

Jess Kiely is a seasoned Senior Land Manager, bringing a wealth of experience from the real estate and development sector. Since joining Yorkshire Choice Homes in December 2023, Jess has played a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the acquisition, development, and maintenance of land assets for the company’s residential projects.

Her academic journey began with a BCS in Planning and Development Surveying from Northumbria University, followed by an MSC in Urban Design. Jess' career kicked off as a Strategic Planner for a prominent national housing developer, where her dedication and expertise quickly propelled her to the role of Senior Land Manager.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Jess leads a dynamic personal life filled with diverse interests. She actively participates in the Ladies 11v11 development league football scene, showcasing her passion for the sport. Beyond the field, she finds solace and inspiration in classical piano, art, and photography. An avid explorer, Jess enjoys hiking and traveling, always seeking new experiences and perspectives. Her multifaceted interests reflect her vibrant personality and unwavering commitment to both professional excellence and personal fulfilment.

Health & Safety Manager

Emma has dedicated her career to the construction industry, focusing primarily on health and safety management. With extensive experience as a chartered health and safety practitioner, she has guided numerous businesses towards legal compliance and robust safety standards. Emma is also renowned as a tutor for Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) and Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS), imparting invaluable knowledge to industry professionals.

Joining Yorkshire Choice Homes in January 2024 as Health and Safety Manager, Emma undertakes the crucial responsibility of developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety programs aligned with regulations and industry best practices, ensuring the highest standards across all facets of the company’s operations. Her role encompasses training employees, investigating safety incidents, conducting audits and inspections and collaborating with regulatory bodies to mitigate risks effectively.

Outside her professional endeavours, Emma finds joy in her role as a mother to a 14-month-old daughter and nurtures a passion for riding and dressage through caring for her two horses. Additionally, Emma cherishes quality family time and enjoys leisurely walks with her dogs. Emma is not just an asset to the company but is a vibrant individual whose positive energy is an inspiration to those around her.
